What is Palliative Care? Palliative care can begin as early as the onset of treatment to help patients feel more comfortable by focusing on the relief of symptoms such as pain, shortness of breath, fatigue, anxiety, depression, lack of appetite, nausea, and constipation. Palliative care services refers to any care that alleviates symptoms, even if there is hope of a cure by other means. It is not suggested due to life expectancy, like hospice care.
